Henry is Active in the Community and Volunteers




Henry Volunteers in Ward 3 and the Community

  • Volunteers his time and expertise to the London Community Small Business Centre. 

    Volunteer as a Business Mentor and Facilitator (for 11 years now) at the annual London Bridges to Better Business event, that is put on by the Small Business Centre. Sharing his business knowledge and expertise by advising, coaching, new London businesses and entrepreneurs. 

    Volunteered for the Canadian Youth Business Loan Program, reviewing new business plans of young entrepreneurs. Helping them with their business plans to improve their chances of getting get financing to start their new businesses.

    Provide career path analysis and job search skill training for people  who have lost their jobs and have become unemployed. Henry helps them with cover letters, resumes and confidence building, in preparation for successful job interviews. 

    Organized and participated in grafitti clean ups in Ward 3 Northeast London.

    Volunteered at the annual Canadian Cancer Society Terry Fox Run and usually participate in the run/walk, annually.

    Have been the past Section Chair and Education Chair of our local American Society for Quality (ASQ) Section, a not for profit volunteer group. ASQ mission is to promote and apply Quality Principles in London and Region through Leadership, Networking and Learning Opportunities.

    Was part of the initial ASQ Team that organized and developed the London Quality Award, for the Chamber of Commerce Business Achievement Awards.

    Volunteered at Fanshawe College on the Advisory Board for the  review and updating, of the Quality Assurance Program. 

    Six Year Board of Director Member at the London Community Small Business Centre. 

    Volunteered and participated in the annual Canada Day Celebrations.

    Past Committe Member for the London Chamber of Commerce Business Achievement Awards, for the London Quality Award.

    Volunteers countless hours in Old East London. Henry was the Chair of the first Communication Committee of the OEVCA, attended many OEVCA meetings, was a house captain during the first ever heritage walk held in Old East and he also volunteered his time during the annual "Doors Open" event by being a host at the Historic Aoelian Hall in Old East London.

    Worked with the Eyes of East London to crack down on crime, prostitution and drug abuse in the Old East Village area.
